23/01/10 – LeggoPoker Recruits New Coach

LeggoPoker have just snapped up ‘oldjude’ as their newest coach. The Irish poker player has really excelled in the past year and it was only a matter of time before he was recruited. His first video will be a 600nl ante on Full Tilt Poker which is due out soon. Oldjude loves to play the deep ante games and is known for his very aggressive post flop play. 22/01/10 – Rush Poker Training Video

CardRunners have released the first Full Tilt Rush Poker training video on their site. The video features cash game expert, SixPeppers playing 3 tables of 100nl. In this video, SixPeppers discusses his thoughts on the game and proposes his theory on how the games can be very profitable by making some changes to your play. 21/01/10 – DragTheBar acquires Poker Swat

New entrant to the market, DragTheBar have made a statement of their intentions to the poker training world, with the acquisition of the Poker Swat Training Site. Poker Swat was put up for sale a number of months ago, and is now part of Drag the Bar. Just after signing popular poker coach, Leatherass from Stox Poker, Drag the bar will gain the video library of Poker Swat, which is over 230 videos. 19/01/10 Full Tilt Poker – Rush Poker

Full Tilt have released a new patent pending variety of poker, know as Rush Poker. Rush Poker is a fast paced game where you move table as soon as you fold your hand. Each hand is played at a new table and once your action in the hand finishes, you move to a new table with new dealt cards. Positions at the new table are entirely random. This highly fast paced game is expected to be massive due to the large volume of hands possible. Maybe there will be poker training videos on optimal rush poker strategy in the future.

06/01/2010 Dusty “Leatherass” Schimdt To Leave Stox Poker / Cardrunners

After several successful years as a Stox Poker coach, Dusty Schmidt has announced that he and Stox Poker are to sever ties. Schmidt who recently published his first poker book – “Treat your poker like a business” looks set to sign for a rival training site. He announced on a popular poker forum that was leaving Stox and that he would name the site who’s instructional team he is joining in his personal blog.

04/01/2010 Jay “Seabeast” Kinkade Set To Leave Leggo Poker

In a move announced on his Leggo Poker blog, Jay Kinkade announced that he was resigning from his position as a Leggo Poker coach and video producer. Kinkade better known as Seabeast in online poker circles is widely regarded as one of the best multi table tournament players in the world, having made the successful transition from 6 max cash games where he was also one of the top midstakes players. He cited personal reasons and a desire to distance himself from poker as the motivation for his decisions.

03/01/2010 PokerSwat Buyers Still Unknown

Having announced that it had closed it’s doors several months ago, PokerSwat have since been put up for sale. No news has yet surfaced about the potential buyers, but if rumours are to be believed, then Cardrunners are the site most likely to be acquiring Pokerswat’s members, coaches and video library. PokerSwat were an excellent site with some top name coaches including Alec Torelli, Ozzy87 and James “AndyMcLeod” Obst. However, they struggled due to the market saturation at the time they entered the market. Whoever acquires the company will be sure to boost their ranks thanks to the excellent Pokerswat video library.

02/01/2010 MavenVT Approaching Launch Date

David “The Maven” Chicotsky’s site known as The Maven Virtual Training is getting closer to launch. Chicotsky one of the world’s top tournament players is trying to emulate the training experience from his real world training center that he runs in Las Vegas with his business partner Ari Engel. The Maven was previously voted Bluff Magazine’s online player of the year in 2008.
