It seems we here at pokertrainingreviews.net jumped the gun a few days back when we announced that Shaun Deeb was likely joining BlueFire Poker thanks to a Facebook post by Shaun stating, “just signed a contract for a training site you will see the patch on a nov 9er when it’s all set think people will like who is invovled”.
Although the post was in typical Shaun Deeb style, that is to say very cryptic, most of us quickly thought of BlueFire Poker’s Jason Senti who made the final table of the 2010 World Series of Poker, but Deeb posted in a thread on 2+2 that it was not BlueFire Poker, and shortly after Cardrunners patches were spotted at the final table Taylor Caby quickly chimed in to say it was not Cardrunners either! So, who did Shaun Deeb sign with?
Well, knowing Shaun from Facebook and poker forums I’m sure he was having a good laugh as we all guessed who it would be –knowing full well we would never guess right because the site is brand-spanking-new! Well, the announcement is now official; Deeb has joined the fledgling poker training site livepokertraining.com. At this point there is very little information on the website, but according to their mission statement:
“LivePokerTraining.com offers personal, interactive training for poker students with world leading poker professionals. Through private and actively managed forums, our students continue their education and communication with their instructor and peers after training, which enables longevity for poker success and growth…. A community of personal support, state-of-the art facilities, and winning poker strategy define the student experience with LivePokerTraining.com.”
Deeb is the first signing for the site, but the Homepage does currently contain two “Coming Soon” profile pages, and Deeb alluded to some other signings in the near future for the site in his recent Facebook comments.
Deeb has a long list of online accomplishments that have earned him a reputation as one of the best multi table tournament players. This feat is made all the more spectacular when you consider he “retired” from online poker for nearly a year during 2009 and 2010! Here is a quick look at the resume Deeb will take with him to livepokertraining.com:
- Over $3 million in career online poker tournament winnings
- 27 major online poker tournament wins
- 2 PokerStars WCOOP wins; 1 Full Tilt Poker FTOPS win; 2 PokerStars SCOOP wins
LivePokerTraining.com’s website is live, but there is little in the way of information on the site at this point other than the announcement of Deeb’s signing and a bio page for Shaun. The site’s forum is also live at this point, and there is an area where you can ask questions of Deeb –and since very few people have, I would take the opportunity and register and do just that!
Overall it appears little expense was spared in the design and layout of the website as it features a very unique homepage with tiled subpages that former a larger picture –really, you need to check it out for yourself. The pages display extremely fast, and it appears to have a lot of room for growth.
The site has also announced they will be revealing Shaun Deeb’s training schedule very soon.
