Bryce ‘The Bryce’ Paradis

Bryce “The Bryce” Paradis was one of the original instructors at the online poker training site StoxPoker, and when StoxPoker and Cardrunners merged Bryce was amongst the handful of StoxPoker instructors that Cardrunners made sure to retain the services of. Paradis is considered one of the best Limit Holdem Players in the world, and in 2007 when he was in his heyday of online poker Bryce won over $2.5 million at the Limit Holdem tables!

Paradis began playing poker in 2005, and like many young online poker players of that time came from a background in the playing card game Magic the Gathering. After working his way up through the ranks and becoming an online poker coach at StoxPoker, Bryce found himself in the 2+2 “Well” in 2007, and detailed how he got his start in poker:

He began playing $5/$10 Limit Holdem as a prop player at Cryptologic, Prima Poker and Absolute Poker, before moving on to Party Poker –and then after seeing UIGEA take away his bread and butter games at Party Poker he needed to move on and find new pastures. Fortunately, because of his propping experience, Paradis was a strong heads-up player, and decided to move to Full Tilt Poker since they offered heads-up Limit Holdem tables –personally, with his name I would of selected Paradise Poker from the get-go!

From there Bryce worked his way up to the $50/$100 games, and then eventually to the biggest games in the world, taking on the likes of David Benyamine and other high-stakes LHE players at Full Tilt Poker under the screen-name “Freedom25”.

It was around this time that Bryce started recording his own sessions and making notes on them –basically the precursor to the training videos he made for StoxPoker. For his career, Bryce has over $3 million in lifetime winnings online. At the tail-end of 2007, Paradis announced he would be quitting online poker to focus on other interests, but we know how long these retirements last! Although he no longer plays poker to pay the bills, Paradis is still at the top of his game, and living life in Alberta, Canada.

He has produced over 100 coaching videos for Stoxpoker and now Cardrunners and is considered THE specialist when it comes to heads-up LHE games. Bryce has even branched out his coaching videos into No Limit Holdem, as well as Limit Holdem –which still makes up the bulk of his coaching videos. Even though he has been in the coaching game for nearly 5 years, you can still expect to see two or three new training videos each month by “The Bryce” at Cardrunners.

Bryce has also published quite a bit of written content across the Internet, including penning pieces for such publications as Bluff Magazine, CardPlayer Magazine, TwoPlusTwo, and Canadian Poker Player. Bryce also offers private coaching for aspiring players, at a rate of about $600/hour –despite the steep price-tag, Paradis often has to turn down new students as his roster of students is often completely full; yes he is that good at Limit Holdem!
