Jay Rosenkrantz is known by many names in online poker world, and all of them bring with them a huge amount of respect and awe amongst his peers. At the tables he is known by the legendary moniker Pr1nnyraid, which he used to dominate online poker in 2007 and 2008, and as the co-founder of the wildly popular online poker training site Deuces Cracked –and to his friends—he is simply referred to as ‘Krantz’.
Before Deuces Cracked, Krantz ran his own private coaching website called 3bet.net –which is considered the forerunner to all of the online poker training sites of today– but with the help of Rob Cole, Joe Tall, Chris Vitch, and long-time friend Chuck Danielsson, Rosenkrantz developed the online poker training site DeucesCracked.com back in 2007, which at the time was amongst only a handful of competitors on the market.

The online legend Pr1nnyraid has been a poker player basically since birth. Jay Rosenkrantz has been competing in poker games since junior high, and continued to play throughout high-school, even going so far as to sneak into Atlantic City casinos at the age of 16! According to his bio on Deuces Cracked Krantz would work any job he could find to support his poker habit – including being a waiter, mouse-pad cutter, tent cleaner, toy maker, freelance writer, legal assistant, and gas pumper.
After attending film school at Boston University Rosenkrantz was turned on to online poker, discovered the online poker forum 2+2 –where he honed his skills– and the rest, as they say, is history.
At Deuces Cracked Krantz produces a number of poker training videos –mainly in the mid to high stakes No Limit Holdem games– where players can see his aggressive style of play in action. Krantz has a total of 129 poker videos on Deuces Cracked covering just about every conceivable scenario in No limit Holdem Games.
In addition to video content Krantz also posts regular updates on his blog, and is an avid writer, creating tons of strategy articles for the site.
So, we have established that Jay Rosenkrantz is a successful poker player, poker coach, and businessman, but Krantz has used his previous experience as a film student to help develop the G4 reality show Two Months Two Million, which saw Krantz and friends Dani Stern, Brian Roberts, and Emil Patel attempt to collectively win $2 million in two months while the G4 cameras followed the action. The show wasn’t the greatest success –in terms of ratings or the group’s performance—but it did expand the Deuces Cracked brand and brought exposure to a group of talented young poker players.
Krantz was also involved in the documentary film about the online poker boom titled From Busto to Robusto, and has another documentary project in the works as well, once again about the online poker explosion of the early 2000’s.
Rosenkrantz prefers to focus on cash games, although he did manage to find time to play in the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event where he cashed in 684th place, worth $19,263.
