Despite an ever-growing resume in the poker world most poker fans will likely equate Tony Dunst to the young kid with the dapper wardrobe on ESPN’s 2010 World Series of Poker coverage. Dunst not only made a deep-run in the tournament, but became a favorite of the ESPN cameras thanks to his donning of a new suit each day, complete with coordinating tie and pocket square!

Despite F. Scott Fitzgerald’s claim that the clothes make the man, there is a lot more to Tony Dunst than his attire. The Australian native was born in Melbourne in 1980, and is finally eligible to play in live tournaments in the United States, having turned 21 in 2010.
Tony ‘bond18’ Dunst’s credentials include:
- A longtime blogger and poker author, who has produced a number of strategic and philosophical poker articles, in addition to his blog at PokerSavvy Plus
- The new host of the WPT segment the Raw Deal, where he will host a segment that looks at a specific hand or trend in poker
- Coach at the online poker training site PokerSavvy Plus, where Tony is one of the most prolific content producers on the site, or anywhere else for that matter
- A highly respected poster and Moderator for the MTT forum on the popular online poker forum 2+2
- Accomplished online poker player
- Accomplished live tournament player
With over $700,000 in career live tournament winnings Dunst has had quite a bit of success, despite not having scored that one big win; yet. Dunst won a $3,000 NLHE tournament at the 2008 Bellagio Cup, finished runner-up in a PokerStars ANZPT Main Event in 2009, and as mentioned above, made a deep-run before finally finishing in 50th in the 2010 WSOP Main Event.
Online, ‘bond18’ is a beast, with nearly $500,000 in online poker tournament winnings according to officialpokerrankings.com. Tony’s online results made him a highly sought after poker coach, even before he joined PokerSavvy Plus.
Tony’s real resume begins with his poker coaching and strategic thinking. Dunst has always been a popular poker blogger thanks to his unique insights and willingness to speak his mind –traits that helped land Dunst the job of hosting the World Poker Tour’s new segment the Raw Deal. Dunst was able to beat out a number of other hopefuls at the open auditions that were held for the job, including top poker personalities like Joe Sebok, Brian Devonshire and Clonie Gowen.
PokerSavvy Plus is an online poker training site that focuses almost exclusively on Sit and Go and Multi-Table Tournaments. At PokerSavvy Plus, Dunst has created over 75 of the 760+ poker training videos at the site, covering everything from basic Sit & Go strategies to the final table of MTT’s. Dunst is what I would term a workaholic, playing 8-hours of poker per day, creating videos, moderating forums, and writing and blogging about his exploits!
