- The Cardkiller coaches make videos anonmyously, thus we do not know who their producers are.
Card Killer’s content is geared toward the low and middle stakes online poker player, which the site claims makes up 93% of the online poker market. Card Killer is one of the most affordable online poker training sites, charging only $19.95/month with no sign-up fee. The site was originally $10/month (which is practically giving away their service), and has recently increased its price.
Card Killers original (and current) pricing puts them at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to competing against the higher priced sites, like Cardrunners. Although the content is solid, the layout and features of the site have the $10/month feel to them, unlike the sleek designs, special sections, and features of the top online training sites. Hopefully with the increase in price the site will see some updates and revamped designs.
The lack of a forum also takes away from the community aspect of the site. To interact with the instructors you must use the ‘Advisor’ feature, which is on par with e-mailing someone, and is an antiquated method in my opinion. Additionally, many good discussions on training sites come not from the instructors, but from the members. Without a forum Card Killer members are missing out on a lot of good poker talk.
The #1 reason to join Card Killer is the price. When you can get access to hundreds of videos for $19.95/month you really can’t go wrong (the most basic poker books cost about $20).
Card Killer also offers a 24 hour trial period, giving potential members a chance to peruse the site before deciding to join.
