HUSnG Overview

HUSNG is an online poker training site focusing entirely on Heads-Up Sit & Go tournaments. With this complete specialization on heads-up games, the site really puts all their eggs in one basket (even compared to sites SitNGoGrinders and SNGIcons).

HUSNG has a mediocre list of instructors who specialise at heads-up S&G tournaments, and they charge a pretty penny for their expertise –$65 for 1 month or $540 for the year. Each coach is also available for 1-on-1 coaching sessions at various rates –anywhere from $50 to $350 per hour depending on the instructor. Different instructors will also do hand history analysis and a variety of other services for varying prices. In terms of pricing, HUSNG are extremely expensive compared to other sites, a price we feel is far too high for the content on offer.

Forums

The HUSNG forums are very basic and mostly like a ghost town. There is little discussion and almost no interaction from the sites professionals. They are far behind other training sites where the forums are busy and the coaches interact regularly with the site’s members.

Written Content and Tools

Besides their video section HUSNG offers some other written content with a handful of blogs, a member’s only forum, and articles written by the instructors. With their focus on heads-up S&G tournaments, the content is extremely limited and does not warrant the overpriced signup fee.

As I mentioned earlier, HUSNG offers a few poker tools to its members:

  • Customized HUSNG table themes
  • Hole-Card blocker downloadable software
  • Variance Calculator where you can punch in certain statistics to discover your variance

HUSnG Pricing

As I mentioned HUSNG is on the high end of the poker training site price scale, although they do not charge an initiation fee as some of the other sites do.

  • One Month Membership $64.99
  • Three Month Membership $164.99 – Save $30
  • One Year Membership $539.99 – Save $240

In addition they also offer different video bundles you can purchase from different instructors. These downloadable files are a one-time fee, and do not allow access to the membership area of the site. Players may then upgrade to a full membership.

  • Sample video pack – $19.99 – 5 sample videos from various instructors
  • HokieGreg video pack – $39.99 – 5 videos of HokieGreg (5 hours of content)

Expected Value: Is HUSNG worth it?

HUSNG is a niche site that offers no value to players outside of heads up sit and gos. Heads up sit and go players players can easily find coaching of the same standard at other training sites. However. the other sites also offer more supplementary materials, alternative videos, busier forums with more pro input and a whole host of other advantages. We feel HUSNG is overpriced for what is on offer and the charges for the premium content on the site are far too high. Your money would be much better spent at one of the top sit and go training sites such as SitnGoGrinders and FloatTheTurn.
