PokerZion Overview

PokerZion takes a slightly different approach than the other poker training sites: PokerZion gives its members a more ‘hands-on’ training program, where each player signs up to a poker course – somewhat like University.

Poker Zion’s structured poker courses will guide new members through the site’s preset lessons. There are currently three different courses available to players; ‘The Seeds’ is a free membership where players will receive 4 free poker training introduction videos, access to forums and the poker article library.

‘The Roots’ is the next membership level designed for micro stakes players. Subscription to this membership level entitles you to micro stakes lessons emailed to you every week for 6 months, access to their video library along with all the advantages that a free member gets.

‘Iron Lion’ program is a 6 month course aimed at small and mid stakes poker players with the total access to all the content on the site.

Written Content

As previously noted, players are emailed lessons weekly for 6 months with each containing videos, written content, analysis and quizzes. PokerZion also has an article library for players to peruse; and the customary forum sections on their site.

Each specific weekly lesson has a dedicated forum thread so that players can discuss and share their thoughts with the professionals on happenings of that particular lesson. The forums are quite active so this is a great opportunity to discuss poker further.

PokerZion Pricing
  • The Seeds –FREE demo account –offers very limited access to the site, but is a much nicer ‘tour’ than other poker training sites offer.
  • The Roots –$29.95 one-time fee and $9.99 for 5 Months – The Roots membership access to the micro stakes poker training course. This 6 month micro stakes poker training course entails structured lessons emailed to your inbox on a weekly basis along with access to all the resources on the site..
  • Iron Lion –$49.95/month and $14.99 for 6 Months – This is the top level membership to the site: access to the small/mid stakes 6 month poker training course. With this, structured email lessons are emailed to you every week for 6 months and you unlock to all information/resources on the site.

PokerZion accepts major credit cards, PayPal, and also site transfers from PokerStars.

Expected Value: Is Poker Zion Worth It?
Poker Zion is a perfect choice for anyone who wants to improve their game using this structured learning environment. While the content is good, you will only get from it what you put in. Weekly email lessons are a good way to motivate you and add some structure to your training, but ultimately it is up to yourself.
