Overview

Tournament Poker Edge is a new addition to the growing online poker training site genre. The obvious focus of the site is Multi-Table Tournament training, and they employ a number of really strong, and distinguished, online poker pros to provide their members with some terrific content, both video and written.

The big name coach on Tournament Poker Edge may not be known in casual poker circles, but Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabeck is an online legend, with an estimated $3.4 million in tournament winnings over the last few years. Jarzabeck is routinely the #1 ranked online poker player by both OPR and Pocket 5’s.

Multi Table Tournaments (MTT)

The majority of the videos on Tournament Poker Edge are done by bigdogpckt5s, which is likely what most players want to see! Despite the low number of videos at the moment, the instructors cover a number of different formats and stages of MTT’s including: early, middle and late stages as well as final table play. There are also videos on multi-tabling and include both freezeout tournaments and rebuy tourneys.

Forums and Chat Rooms

The forums on Tournament Poker Edge are pretty active, despite the smaller customer base, and the coaching team is extremely helpful in answering all manner of inquiries. This goes a long way in showing a site that focuses on the community first, and not the bottom line.

1 on 1 Coaching

Some of the Tournament Poker Edge guys offer personalized one on one poker coaching programs. These programs will be tailored specifically to the players needs and generally a great way to strengthen your game. However, the cost of this coaching will be out of the price range of many players and not offer the same value as a TPE subscription.

Expected Value: Is Tournament Poker Edge Worth It?
Tournament Poker Edge, while small at the moment, is a growing site that puts a premium on customer relations. The video production is decent quality –remember they are starting from the ground floor, so don’t expect perfection right out of the chute—and the content itself is really strong, and will give players a new outlook on tournament strategy –even if they have been members of other online poker training sites in the past.

Everything considered the price is right, the coaches are good, and the site is extremely focused on giving its members 100% attention: I highly recommend Tournament Poker Edge to any poker player looking to improve their MTT performance.
